In India, Pharmacist plays a main role in the field of Medicine.
Patients get their medicine directly from pharmacy by consulting them
for their ailments. The general view of public, why they are avoiding doctors
for consultation:
1.
Crowd in the clinics
or the patients have to pay consulting fees for each visit, exorbitantly.
2.
Compulsory pathology tests
in clinical laboratories with some vested interests.
3.
Directing the patients
to the hospitals which they are visiting, even for trivial ailments.
Recently I took one of my relative for normal eye check-up. The patient
had the rare opportunity of seeing all the scanning instruments which the hospital
got imported recently. Of course at patient’s cost only as well as usual lab
tests viz. blood test, urine test, x-rays etc.
