In the first chapter of Bagwath Geetha, 15th and 16th Slokas, the different names of shanku used by Krishna and the pancha Pandavas are conveyed
பாஞ்சஜன்யம் ஹ்ருஷீகேசா தேவதத்தந் தனஞ்ஜய:
பௌண்ட்ரந் தத்மௌ மகாசங்கம் பீமகர்மா வ்ருகோதர: (15)
அனந்த விஜயம் ராஜா குந்தீபுத்ரோ யுதிஷ்டிர:
நகுல: ஸஹதேவச்ச ஸுகோஷ மணிபுஷ்பகௌ (16)
கிருஷ்ணர் பாஞ்சஜன்யம்
தருமர் அனந்த விஜயம்
பீமன் பௌன்டரம்
அர்ஜுனன் தேவதத்தம்
நகுலன் சுகோஷ
ஸகதேவன் மணிபுஷ்பகௌ
The reading of this sloka created an interest towards collecting some interesting data regarding Shanku or the Divine Conch Shell.
Ø Vishnu holds Shankha in one hand of Chathur puja
Ø Shanka is used to alarm enemies and to start war.
Ø It also represents awakening.
Ø The sound blown is too divine and is used for regular rituals.
Ø Royal State Emblem of Travancore and state emblem of Kerala is Conch only.
Ø Shankhs are of two types viz. valampuri (right twisted) and idampuri (Left twisted)
Ø A conch is a sea dwelling mollusc.
Ø The vibrations from these conch shell can overpower evil forces.
Ø Types of Shankhas are 1. Dakshinavarthi, 2. Vaamavarthi, 3. Ganesha Shanka,4.Gaumukhi Shankhas, 5.Gouri Shankha & 6.Pearl Shanka
Ø If we hold the shankha near the ear, the sound of the gently humming ocean can be heard. This is the natural vibration or cosmic energy of the earth which gets magnified on entering the conch shell.

திவ்ய புருஷர்களின் ஸங்குகள் மாத்திரம் தான் கீதையில் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன. மற்றவைகள் ஒரு ஊதும கருவியாகத்தான் செயல்பட்டுள்ளன . பீஷ்மர் துரோணர் இவர்களுக்கே அந்த அந்தஸ்தை கொடுக்கவில்லை எனில், கௌரவர்கள் எம்மாத்திரம்
ReplyDeleteதர்மம் நிலைக்க பாடுபட்ட இந்த ஆறு திவ்ய புருஷர்களுக்கும் தெய்வீக சங்குகள் அளிக்கப்பட்டன. பீஷ்மர், துரோணர், க்ருபர், கர்ணன் அதர்மத்தின் பக்கம் செயல்பட்டதால் அவர்கள் தெய்வீக புருஷர்களாக இருந்தும் அவர்களது தெய்வீக அஸ்திரங்கள் வீண் போயின. மற்றும் அவர்கள் தெய்வீக அந்தஸ்தை இழந்தார்கள். அதனால் அவர்களது சங்கும் கீதையில் இடம் பெறவில்லை.
ReplyDeleteநல்லவர்களும் அதர்மத்தின் பக்கத்தில் இருந்ததால் தெய்வீக அஸ்திரங்களும் வீண் போயின சங்கின் தெய்வீகமும் அவர்களை விட்டு விலகியது என்பதை தங்களின் விளக்கத்தில் இருந்து தெரிந்துகொண்டோம்.
